Utilities are increasingly focused on the wireless broadband data communications networks necessary to enable their historic efforts to modernize the grid.  A major concern in selecting network technology and radio spectrum:  ensuring a broad, vibrant marketplace for equipment, applications, and services to support initial deployment as well as ongoing operations and maintenance.  Nobody wants to be stuck with a technology or spectrum band that only a few manufacturers are supporting.  In this session, panelists will discuss how they are working within the Anterix Active Ecosystem program to bring utilities an increasing array of choices in the 900 MHz LTE marketplace, fostering industry-centric innovations and benefiting utilities and their customers through vendor competition.
